I once heard an English version of the Neapolitan song Core 'Ngrato. The
online music player showed the artist as Sarah Vaughan but I think that may
have been wrong. Does anyone know this English version?

I have just created the Karaoke file for one English version. It is
called Ungrateful Heart and I found the lyrics attributed to Andrea
Bocelli.
It is posted on alt.binaries.karaoke
As it is binary, I cannot post it here for you, but here are the lyrics.

UNGRATEFUL HEART

Catari, Catari.
why do you speak to me such
bitter words,
Why do you speak only
to torment my heart, Catari?
Do not forget that
I have given you my heart,
Catari, do not forget!
Catari, Catari, why do you speak
just to put me in agony?
You never think of my sadness,
You never think,
you never seem to care.

Ungrateful heart,
you took possession of my life,
and now it's over,
you no longer think of me.

Catari, Catari.
you do not know that
even in church
I bring my prayers to God,
Catari.
And I recount my confession to the priest:
"I am suffering from such a great love!
I am suffering,
I suffer from not knowing your love,
I suffer a sorrow that tortures my soul!"
And I confess, that the Holy Mother
Spoke to me: "My son, you must
never forget, never forget!"

Ungrateful heart,
you took possession of my life,
and now it's over,
you no longer think of me.

And now it's over,
you no longer think of me!

Thank you for doing that but I should have mentioned that I'm certain that
the lyrics did not include the words "Catari, Catari" or "Ungrateful Heart".
It was not a literal translation. The woman had a jazzy voice. It could
have been Sarah Vaughan but I doubt it.
