I Love Lucy
There's a certain couple that I know.
They're strictly lovebirds,
A pair of turtle dove birds.
He's a guy who wants the world to know.
So ev'ry day
You'll hear him say
I Love Lucy and she loves me,
We're as happy as two can be,
sometimes we quarrel but then again
How we love making up again.
Lucy kisses like no one can,
She's my missus and I'm her man;
And life is heaven you see
Cause I Love Lucy
Yes I Love Lucy
and Lucy loves me.

What a girl, what a whirl, what a life.
Oh I married Joan
What a mind, love is blind what a wife.
Giddy and gay, all day she keeps my heart laughin'
Never know where her brain has flown.
Each to his own
Can't deny that's why I married Joan.

The Patty Duke Show
Meet Cathy, who's lived most everywhere,
From Zanzibar to Barclay Square.
But Patty's only seen the sight.
A girl can see from Brooklyn Heights --
What a crazy pair!
But they're cousins,
Identical cousins all the way.
One pair of matching bookends,
Different as night and day.
Where Cathy adores a minuet,
The Ballet Russes, and crepe suzette,
Our Patty loves to rock and roll,
A hot dog makes her lose control --
What a wild duet!
Still, they're cousins,
Identical cousins and you'll find,
They laugh alike, they walk alike,
At times they even talk alike --
You can lose your mind,
When cousins are two of a kind.

The Andy Griffith Show
Well, now, take down your fishin' pole and meet me at The Fishin' Hole,
We may not get a bite all day, but don't you rush away.
What a great place to rest your bones and mighty fine for skippin' stones,
You'll feel fresh as a lemonade, a-settin' in the shade.
Whether it's hot, whether it's cool, oh what a spot for whistlin' like a
fool.
What a fine day to take a stroll and wander by The Fishin' Hole,
I can't think of a better way to pass the time o' day.
We'll have no need to call the roll when we get to The Fishin' Hole,
There'll be you, me, and Old Dog Trey, to doodle time away.
If we don't hook a perch or bass, we'll cool our toes in dewy grass,
Or else pull up a weed to chaw, and maybe set and jaw.
Hangin' around, takin' our ease, watchin' that hound a-scratchin' at his
fleas.
Come on, take down your fishin' pole and meet me at The Fishin' Hole,
I can't think of a better way to pass the time o' day.

Said "Californy is the place you ought to be"
So they loaded up the truck and moved to Beverly.

That brand of woo you've been brewin'
Took me by surprise.
You witch, you witch,
One thing is for sure.
That stuff you pitch
Just hasn't got a cure.
My heart was under lock and key,
But somehow it got unhitched.
I never thought that I could be had
But now I'm caught and I'm kinda glad
To be Bewitched.

F Troop
The end of the Civil War was near
When quite accidentally,
A hero who sneezed abruptly seized
Retreat and reversed it to victory.
His medal of honor thrilled and pleased
his proud little family group.
While pinning it on some blood was shed
And so it was planned he'd command F Troop.
Where Indian fights are colorful sights
and nobody takes a lickin'
Where pale face and redskin
Both turn chicken.
When killing and fighting get them down,
They know their morale won't droop.
As long as they all relax in town
Before they resume with a bang and a boom

Gilligan's Island
Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale,
A tale of a fateful trip
That started from this tropic port
Aboard this tiny ship.
The mate was a mighty sailing man,
The skipper brave and sure.
Five passengers set sail that day
For a three hour tour, a three hour tour.
The weather started getting rough,
The tiny ship was tossed,
If not for the courage of the fearless crew
The minnow would be lost, the minnow would be lost.
The ship set ground on the shore of this uncharted desert isle
With Gilligan
The Skipper too,
The millionaire and his wife,
The movie star
The professor and Mary Ann,
Here on Gilligans Isle.
So this is the talel of the castways,
They're here for a long, long time,
They'll have to make the best of things,
It's an uphill climb.
The first mate and the Skipper too,
Will do their very best,
To make the others comfortable,
In the tropic island nest.
No phone, no lights no motor cars,
Not a single luxury,
Like Robinson Crusoe,
As primative as can be.
So join us here each week my freinds,
You're sure to get a smile,
From seven stranded castways,
Here on "Gilligan's Isle."

It's about two astronauts and how they educate
A pre-historic woman and her pre-historic mate.

What will they do
In this strange place where everything is new.
Will they manage to survive
Watch each week and see.
Will they get accustomed to the Twentieth Century.

To all our pre-historic gals and guys.

M*A*S*H (Suicide is Painless)
Through early morning fog I see
visions of the things to be
the pains that are withheld for me
I realize and I can see...
[chorus]:
That suicide is painless
It brings on many changes
and I can take or leave it if I please.
I try to find a way to make
all our little joys relate
without that ever-present hate
but now I know that it's too late, and...
[Chorus]
The game of life is hard to play
I'm gonna lose it anyway
The losing card I'll someday lay
so this is all I have to say.
[Chorus]
The only way to win is cheat
And lay it down before I'm beat
and to another give my seat
for that's the only painless feat.
[Chorus]
MASH
The sword of time will pierce our skins
It doesn't hurt when it begins
But as it works its way on in
The pain grows stronger...watch it grin, but...
[Chorus]
A brave man once requested me
to answer questions that are key
'is it to be or not to be'
and I replied 'oh why ask me?'
'Cause suicide is painless
it brings on many changes
and I can take or leave it if I please.
...and you can do the same thing if you choose.

Welcome Back Kotter
Welcome back,
Your dreams were your ticket out.
Welcome back,
To that same old place that you laughed about.
Well the names have all changed since you hung around,
But those dreams have remained and they're turned around.
Who'd have thought they'd lead ya (Who'd have thought they'd lead ya)
Here where we need ya (Here where we need ya)
Yeah we tease him a lot cause we've hot him on the spot, welcome back,
Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back.

I fixed several little typos and a few wrong words. A point of possible
interest might be that on the first few seasons of "Gilligan's Island" the
theme song was slightly different. The line,
"A movie star, the professor and Mary Ann...
Here on G's Isle"
Was originally:
"A movie star, and the rest, are here on G's Isle..."
I was about 9 when it first came on... saw episode number one. If I'm not
mistaken, the lyrics changed when the show went from black and white to
color.
*****
The Addams Family
"They're all together WOOKY"
Beverly Hillbillies
"Come and listen to MY story..."
"You're all invited back NEXT WEEK"
Gilligan's Island
"In THEIR tropic island nest"
I Dream of Jeannie
"Just LOOK how she obeys me"
(guessing here, never seen the words, NEAT!!)
The Monkees
And WE'VE got something to say"
Happy Days
*Rockin'* all week with you.
I remember "cruisin'" or "groovin'"... could be wrong. And remember that the
first year the theme song was "Rock Around the Clock" by Bill Haley & the
Comets.
The Love Boat
Point of possible interest: Jack Jones sang the Love Boat theme, seems near
the end Dionne Warwicke may have done it. Possibly just a psychic vision on
my part though.

"Who'd have thought they'd lead ya, BACK here where we need ya..."
I really enjoyed this... I had NONE of these old TV themes. Now, for extra
credit, please post the words to "Bonanza". In one episode the Cartwright's
came riding into the Ponderosa singing words to the theme song... I assume
written by Jay Livivngston & Ray Evans. Anyone have these words?
Ray Crenshaw in SC (USA)
We got a right to pick a little fight
Bonanza
If anyone fights any one of us
He's gotta fight with me
We're not a-one to saddle up and run
Bonanza
Any one of us who starts a little fuss
Knows he can count on me
One for four, four for one
This we guarantee
We got a right to pick a little fight
Bonanza
If anyone fights any one of us
He's gotta fight with me
BONANZA (Jay Livingston & Ray Evans) ("Bonanza")
We got a right to pick a little fight, Bonanza!
If anyone fights any one of us, he's gotta fight with me!
We're not a-one to saddle up and run, Bonanza!
Anyone of us who starts a little fuss knows he can count on me!
One for four, four for one, this we guarantee!
We got a right to pick a little fight, Bonanza!
If anyone fights any one of us, he's gotta fight with me!
This is the night I'm gonna hit a bright bonanza.
I bet a buck I hit a bit o' luck, that's how it's gonna be.
I'm gonna light the middle of the night. Bonanza!
I'm gonna go with the glitter and the glow, that's how it is with me.
I'm in love, she's my love. I don't have to guess.
I'll enfold more than gold when she answers yes.
This is the deal, that's gonna bring a real bonanza.
I'm in a whirl with a pretty little girl, and she's in love with me.
Version of lyrics used only on pilot, then pulled and even stripped
from pilot rerun:
We chased lady luck, 'til we finally struck Bonanza
With a gun and a rope and a hat full of hope, we planted our family tree.
We got a hold of a pot full of gold, Bonanza
With a horse and a saddle, and a ring full of cattle, how rich can a fellow be?
On this land we put our brand, Cartwright is the name,
Fortune smiled the day we filed the Ponderosa claim.
Here in the west, we're livin' in the best Bonanza
If anyone fights any one of us, he's got a fight with me. Bonanza
Hoss and Joe and Adam know every rock and pine, no one works fights, or eats,
like those boys of mine
Here we stand in the middle of a grand Bonanza
With a gun and a rope and a hatful of hope, we planted our family tree,
We got a hold of a potful of gold Bonanza
With a houseful of friends where the rainbow ends, how rich can a fellow be?
On this land we put our brand Cartwright is the name,
Fortune smiled, the day we filed the Ponderosa claim
Here in the west we're living in the best Bonanza with the friendliest,
fightingist, lovingist band,
That everset foot in the promised land and we're happier than them all.
That's why we call it Bonanza, Bonanza, Bonanza
