Some artists, MeatLoaf comes immediately to mind,
use recurring characters in their songs, but I am
looking for songs by the same artist that reuse
a line from one of his or her songs.
Here are a couple to get the ball rolling:
"Fade away, Radiate" occurs in "Fade Away and
Radiate" and "Dreaming" by Blondie
"Help me make it through the night" occurs
in "Help Me Make It through the Night" and
"I Don't Like to Sleep Alone" by Paul Anka.
Are there more? Think about it. ... and make a wish.

aren't there a couple out there with "Staring at the Sun" in the song?
right now i can only think of U2's new song.
and i know about a million artists with "Come down" somewhere, as in
Bush and Toad and the Wet Sprocket.

Steve Winwood used 'while you see a chance, take it' not only in the
song of the same name from the album _Arc of a Diver_, but also in
"Hearts on Fire" from _Roll With It_ and in "Come Out and Dance" from
_Refugees of the Heart_.
In the last 2 songs, the lines were used in a very joke-y,
self-referential way. ;-)
Also, when singing "Gimme Some Lovin" in concert, he will sing 'every
night, every day' during the breaks, just as a fill; and he later
wrote a song of that name, which is on _Far From Home_.
Interesting question.

Wasn't it Kris Kristofferson who wrote Help Me Make It Through the Night?
