Does anyone have a copy of the 80's Music Quiz from the internet....with
the answers? There are 222 lines from 80s pop music songs and you have
to guess artist/title and no 2 songs are by the same artist. I've got
most of them, but some have me stumped. Can anyone help out with the
one's below:

#9. I can hear you comin', I know what you're after.

#10. And it's true we are immune when fact is fiction and TV reality.
(Is this U2?)

#14. A cloud appears above your head, a beam of light comes shining down
on you.

#18. I think I thought you were someone else. (R.E.M. ?)

#19. I tried my imagination but I was disturbed.

#20. I tell you one and one makes three.

#28. Can't get food for the king.

#31. You're like the sun chasing all of the rain away.

#37. Easy ready willing overtime

#41. You in that dress my thoughts I confess verge on dirty.

#46. Caught up in the action I've been looking out for you.

#47. An invisible man sleeping in your bed.

#48. But somewhere sometime when you're curious, I'll be back around.

#51. And incidents arose from circumstance.

#52. You know I like my girls a little bit older.

#54. Now we're sharing the same dreams, and our hearts can beat as one.

#57. You're everywhere, but you're so hard to find.

#58. You want your percentage, but I'm the fool paying the dues.

#62. I used to think maybe you loved me, now I know that it's true.
(ABC?)

#68. I'm always workin', slavin', every day

#71. Daddy says she's too young, but she's old enough for me.

#73. You're not naive, you must be strong.

#77. Will you meet him on the main line, or will you catch him on the
rebound?

#81. They threw an American flag in our face.

#86. Everything you do is quite angelicate. (The Cure?)

#88. I don't know what you expect staring into the TV set.

#89.My eyes dilate, my lips go green.

#92. Crazy little woma in a one man show.

#93. Went the distance, now I'm back on my feet.

#94. Got in a little hometown jam, so they put a rifle in my hand
(Bruce?)

#97. I need fifty dollars to make you holler. (Tone Loc?)

#98. So let's sink another drink cause it'll give me time to think....(I
know I know this....Ugh...)

#100. Couldn't see how much I missed you (now I do).

More to come......

#28 is Electric Avenue by Eddy Grant (one of my husband's favourite 80s
songs)

#41 is Come on Eileen by Dexy's Midnight Runners

#47 is Ghostbusters by Ray Parker, Jr.

#48 is You Might Think by the Cars

#52 is Lose Your Love (?) by the Outfield

#62 is Let's Hear it for the Boy by Deneice Williams

#91 is Dancing With Myself by Billy Idol

#92 is Pour Some Sugar on Me by Def Leppard (my favourite 80s band!)

I know a few more but I can't place them! Dammit! Hope this helps.

Yup, that's REM, "Pop Song 89"

> #81. They threw an American flag in our face

"Allentown" by Billy Joel

>#86. Everything you do is quite angelicate. (The Cure?)

You're right on this one too. It's "Why Can't I be You?" by the Cure.

There are several other lines that sound familiar, and I know I should be able
to identify them, but these were the only three that jumped out at me. Hope it
helps.

Hi! I know some of these have been answered but after reading all the messages,
I couldn't remember what had been answered and what has. So please forgive me
if I answer something that has already been answered. I too got this quiz in my
e-mail. I printed it off if anyone wants to see the whole thing. I don't mind
typing it up. Not sure about the spelling on some of these so just look over
that!

Yes, The Boss. Song title: "Born in the U.S.A."
Good luck with the rest (try www.lyrics.ch , choose fulltext search and type
in your phrases. Hint: if you find an artist in two or more songs, maybe some
of them are not the right ones. Cause you wrote "...and no 2 songs are by the
same artist...")
