It's an old rock song, from the mid 70's probably, and the only line I
remember goes "Greeneyed lady, lovely lady" or something similar.

Someone told me it was by a band named Cactus, but I haven't been able to
verify that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sugarloaf did Green-Eyed Lady. Here are the lyrics:

Greeen Eyed Lady, lovely lady
Strolling slowly towards the sun

Green eyed lady ocean lady
Soothing every wave that comes

Green eyed lady, passion's lady
dressed in love she lives for life to be

Green eyed lady feels like I never see
Setting suns and lonely lovers free

(Organ solo)
(long instrumental break)

Green eyed lady, windswept lady
moves the night the waves the sand

Green eyed lady ocean lady
child of nature, friend of man

Green eyed lady passions lady
dressed in love she lives for life to be

Green eyed lady feels like I never see
Setting sons and lonely lovers free

And so the word went out from "Marc Bolan" <ilumi...@hotmail.com>:

Good to see you're still kicking, Marc, loved your work with T-Rex ;-)
Here's what I found on Lyrics World:

On my copy of "Cruisin' 1970" the group's name is spelled as two
seperate words, for what that's worth. I popped in the CD and made
a couple of slight changes so I'm sending this to Lyrics World as
well. Enjoy!

Green-Eyed Lady
Sugarloaf

Green-eyed lady, lovely lady

Strolling slowly towards the sun

Green-eyed lady, ocean lady
Soothing every raging wave that comes

Green-eyed lady, passion's lady
Dressed in love she lives for life to be

Green-eyed lady feels like I never see

Setting sons and lonely lovers free

(Organ solo)
(long instrumental break)

Green-eyed lady, windswept lady
Moves the night, the waves, the sand

Green-eyed lady, ocean lady
Child of nature, friend of man

Green-eyed lady, passion's lady
Dressed in love she lives for life to be

Green-eyed lady feels like I never see

Setting sons and lonely lovers free
