I haven't watched the show for a few years, but unless they've
changed it, the opening theme for the show was the Beatles' classic
"Lady Madonna."
Which ought to be available on the Lyrics Server at
Sergei.

Don't have a clue what they're using as a theme now, though.
Or why they might have changed it.
The Grace Under Fire episode guide at
http://www.tardis.ed.ac.uk/~dave/guides/GraceUnderFire/index.html
says:
The theme song is a special recording of 'Lady Madonna'
by Aretha Franklin.
I found a few other references, too:

Q: During it's first few seasons, Brett Butler's ABC sitcom
Grace Under Fire featured this Beatles song (about a single
woman's suffering with a family) as it's theme.
A: "Lady Madonna"

GRACE UNDER FIRE
The show uses "Lady Madonna" (sung by some scary lady)
in the opening credits.

"Lady Madonna," a product of a 1968 stint at EMI studios, has been
adapted as the theme song for the ABC comedy "Grace Under Fire,"
starring Brett Butler, although a cover of the original is used on
the show.

Lady Madonna (1983) Interesting that the tv comedy series Grace
Under Fire used exactly the same approach to this song when used
as its theme tune.

Well ... this song seems to come close to that description.
Is this it? Although I never heard this song used on the show,
it's possible that they switched their regular theme song for
some reason. I'm certainly not claiming that I watched every
episode. In fact, I only watched it every two or three weeks.
Sunny Side Up
A Small Price For Heaven
Walking Down The Street
------------------------
(D. Dickers)
Excuse me, channel one
I'm talking to the sun
hold on a second, general, if you please
I'm gazin' at the sky
no need to ratify
It seems to me it's perfect for the job
cos I don't see why things look
much nicer from the top
Walking down the street with my head up high
I can see why
Walking down the street
starin' at the sky
I can see all the brightness before my eyes
No more politics (you ain't seen nothing yet)
and econometrics
I can see there are better days ahead
I might as well be wrong (therefore I shall resign)
but I gotta move along
I just prefer to whistle when I walk
cos I cannot shut myself to
blindness when I talk
Walking down the street with my head up high
I can see why
Walking down the street
Starin' at the sky
I can see all the brightness before my eyes
solo
Walking down down, walking down the street
Walking down down (2X)
CHORUS
Walking down down, walking down the street
Walking down down, walking down the street
