Can someone please tell me what the lyrics are for the song that I believe has
the last line as "The Best Things in Life are Free?"

I would appreciate you sending it to Walter at wri...@seniors-site.com

Thanks!

In article <writers.6...@snowcrest.net>,
wri...@snowcrest.net says...
The Best Things In Life Are Free was written in 1927 by B. G. De
Sylva, Lew Brown and Ray Henderson. An original recording was
by George Olsen and his Orchestra. In 1948, Dinah Shore and Jo
Stafford made records of it. Maybe you can find one of those
records.

Are you thinking of the song that starts with

"The best things in life are free,
well you can keep em for the birds and bees,
I want some money (that's what I want)"
etc.?

Or are you thinking of that duet of Janet Jackson with some guy I don't
know. It goes

The best things in life a free
now that I've discovered what you mean to me

Or maybe you are thinking of the song that hasn't the exact refrain:

"All The Best Things" by THE FIXX. The refrain is "all the best things are
free". My memory tricked me on this one - I could have sworn that the words
"in life" would appear in this title. But after browsing through the CD
booklet I discovered my mistake. Here are more details: this song appeared
1991 on their record "INK"; "All The Best Things" was produced by Rupert
Hine.
Good luck, Ralf

The moon belongs to everyone

The best things in life are free
The stars belong to everyone
They shine there for you and me

The flowers in spring
The robins that sing
The sunbeams that shine
They're yours, they're mine

And love can come to everyone

The best things in life are free
