Hi to all of you...
Is there anybody out there who can help me track down the guy who sang
"Puti Puti" in the beginning of the 60s. A fab song that should feature
in just about anyone's little cove of obscure, musical treasures. I
believe the guy is Hawaiian but have found absolutely zilch on him on
the Net. Anyone, please?

This is a wild guess for you, but there was a
Jay Epae who sang the obscure "Putti Putti" in 1961.
Jay was from New Zealand, but it was a
Hawaiian style song. The song was
only popular in the Scandanavian
countries. I have a short clip of it sent
to me from someone in Finland.

Hi Rich
and thanks for your speedy reply. So...that's why...he's a Kiwi. All
this time I was under the impression that he was a Hawaiian. Got it the
other way around. I'll start digging and hopefully I'll come up with
something substantial on the guy.
Thanks again for sending me off in the right direction.

Putiputi Kaaneihana is a Moari song. I guess that is what you were looking
for.
