60's: Animal House type of theme, male vocalist sounding like Bill
Halley, lyrics go: "No no, no, no-no no-no-NO-NOO-no nono no
no...nobody gonna LOVE YOU like I do, nobody gonna (SOMETHING) like I
do...
That one is fairly easy since it's on my parent's oldies collection,
but they're 2500 miles away...
70's: The only part I remember was an extended chorus section where
the backup girls sing "Beau Geste...Beau Geste... Beau Geste, YEAH
YEAH YEAH!" this line is repeated during the chorus, and if I remember
correctly, it was a disco tune that came out around the mid '70's.
Ok, the clues get lamer now :P
80's: The only lyric that I am probably misremembering here is
"Rocked (or tricked?) by the fury" this line is repeated twice at the
end of the stanza and is followed by a light, sounding guitar solo
with an island beat kept by a shaker sound. Male vocalist, in the
vocal range of Nick Lowe or maybe even lower (pun intended).
I THINK that this was a very early 80's tune, but it may have come
out late '70's and I remember it being played in the '80's.
I hope that the panel of contestants is clever enough cos these are
driving me nutzo. Muchas Gracias!

Also covered by the immortal "Spuddy Buddy" on the new Idaho Potatoes
commercial. ;)
