I think Howard Jones did this song as well. All I remember is a few lines. . .


I need an everlasting love, I need a friend and a lover divine!

This was a song I found out was written by Mac Gayden and it was performed by
U2 on their Best of 1980-90 CD. But I heard a version with a girl singing it
too. Can anyone tell me of another version they heard and who it was? Thanks (I
have the lyrics if you need them)

Even though seemingly a thousand people have recorded this song, the biggest
hit featuring a female singing too was the Rex Smith - Rachel Sweet duet
version of it from 1981. (On his album _Everlasting Love_, on hers called
_...And Then He Kissed Me_ ).

It was co-written by Gayden with a certain person named Cason.
