Remember the controversy over the lyrics to "Louie Louie" by the
Kingsmen(sic). I never knew the lyrics. Can someone write them for me?

Louie Louie

Louie Louie, me gotta go.
Louie Louie, me gotta go.

A fine girl, she wait for me.
Me catch the ship across the sea.
I sailed the ship all alone.
I never think I'll make it home.

Louie Louie, me gotta go.

Three nights and days we sailed the sea.
Me think of girl constantly.
On the ship, I dream she there.
I smell the rose in her hair.

Louie Louie, me gotta go.

Me see Jamacan moon above.
It won't be long me see me love.
Me take her in my arms and then I tell her I never leave again.

Louie Louie, me gotta go.

LOUIE LOUIE

[THOSE MYSTERIOUS LYRICS]

Louie, Louie. Me gotta go. Louie, Louie. Me gotta go.

Me fine little girl, she waits for me

Me sail the ship across the sea

Me sail the ship by my all alone

Never think how I make it home.

Louie, Louie. Me gotta go. Louie, Louie. Me gotta go.

Three nights and days I sail the sea

Think of girl constantly

On the ship I know she there

Smell the roses in her hair.

Louie, Louie. Me gotta go. Louie, Louie. Me gotta go.

Me see Jamaica, the moon above

It won't be long, me see me love

Take her in my arms and then

Tell her I never leave again.

Louie, Louie. Me gotta go. Louie, Louie. Me gotta go.

Gretings,

The lyrics for the song are taken exactly as they appear in my guitar song
book: EZ to play BILLBOARD songs of the 60's.
I can't read music so if the lyrics are in the wrong order, sorry.

Regards,

Ken

Uh, Louie, Louie, oh, no, say-in we gotta go

A fine little girl is waiting for me.
Me catch a ship across the sea.
Me sailed that ship ah all alone.
Me never think how I'll make it home.

Uh, Louie, Louie, oh, no, say-in we gotta go
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Said Uh, Louie, Louie, oh, baby said we gotta go.

Three nights and days I sailed the sea.
Me think of girl oh, constantly.
Oh on that ship I dream she there.
I smell the rose ah in her hair.

Uh, Louie, Louie, oh, no, say-in we gotta go
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Uh we gotta go now. I said we gotta go now,

Me see Jamaica ah moon above.

It won't be long me see me love.

Me take her in my arms again.
I tell her I'll never leave her here.

Uh, Louie, Louie, oh, no, say-in we gotta go
