That's right...you read right.

I'm having a vasectomy on 8/1 and i want to burn a CD to listen to.

I know more than a few of you wil have suggestions of some appropriate
songs to get 'snipped' by to put on the CD

A vasectomy, for those who don't know, is where they make it so a man
can't impregnate anybody any more. You can use your imagination to
figure out the rest.

The procedure only takes about 10 minutes, so I'll only be able to use
2 or 3 songs.

Do your best folks!
~Kenny Doe

In your reply, please replace the word 'NOSPAM' with the word 'home'.
Thanks
~Kenny

Kenny,

First of all ... GOOD LUCK!

I had my vasectomy last year and (from start to finish) it took
almost half an hour (this included preparation, the actual
"snipping" and the clean-up after). So you might want to consider
making your CD a little longer then 2 or 3 songs.

I am not sure if you wanted suggestions for relaxing music or if
you wanted to create some sort of theme, but while I was in the
OR a local FM radio station was playing in the background and I
was ever so afraid that they might play; "Cuts Like A Knife" by
Bryan Adams or "Only Women Bleed" by Alice Cooper. Of course that
Robert Palmer tune, "Doctor, Doctor" might also be a likely
candidate. Or how about "I was Made For Loving You" by KISS?

Regards,

bwilkie

Ok, this is in really poor taste, but what about that Stone Temple Pilots song,
"Creep" in which he sings "I'm half the man I used to be...."? :-)

Just a though.....

<grin> How about "Tip Toe Through The Tulips" - Tiny Tim <snicker>
You never know when the blade might slip, and you will lose your place in
the Tenor choir..

Seems to me, you could have played any music at all during the operation,
and I wouldn't have been paying much attention.. Kinda had my mind
elsewhere...

So, go get your club membership, I already had the
Sunkist Operation (all juice.. no seeds)

This is a good one.
Sing it off key and in a baritone.
It's sung by Tony Bennett

Just in Time

Just in time
I found you
Just in time
before you came my
time
was running
Low <---------- (stretch it out)

I was lost
the losing dice were tossed
my eyes all were crossed
no where to go

Now you're here
and now I know just
where I'm goin
No more doubt or fear
<cross your eyes here>
I found my way
for love came just in time
you found me just in time
and changed my lonely life
that lovely day

<whistle a lot>

no where to goooooo
now you're here
and now I know just
where I'm goin
?????
I found my way
For love came just in time
you found me
just in time
and changed my lonely
life
that lovely day

How about "Cuts You Up" by Peter Murphy?

On a less sartirical note, I do remember listening to "Don't Fear the
Reaper" and "Burning for You" [both by Blue Oyster Cult] while heavily
stoned on laughing gas during a nasty dental procedure. Not sure why, but
those two songs made the colors inside my eyelids much more vibrant and
interesting . . . :-)

Good luck!

**********

Because many such men put sperm in a sperm bank before such a procedure
in case they want to have children later in life:
Jim Croce singing "If I could save sperm in a bottle..."

Al Jolson singing "You made me love you, I didn't want to do it, no I
didn't want to do it ... [have the vasectomy, that is]"

Neil Diamond singing "You don't bring me condoms anymore..."

In case the doctor makes a mistake and it affects your ability to please
a woman, your partner might want to sing the song "If it takes forever I
will wait for you..."

Or Joan Baez singing "The night they drove old Kenny down..."

The Mills Brothers singing "You always hurt the one you love..."

ON THE OTHER HAND, I WOULD PLAY MEATLOAF SINGING "I WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR
LOVE, BUT I WON"T DO THAT!!!!"

Here is part of a song I once heard by a Jewish comedian talking
about circumcision. Sung to the tune of the Beatle's Yesterday.

Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away, but now they look as if
there here to stay O, I believe in Yesterday. Suddenly I'm not half the
man I used to be, there's a shadow hanging over me, Oh I believe in
Yesterday. Why, it, had to go I don't know it wasn't in the way, Oh how
I long for Yesterday.

That's all I remember.

Stone Temple Pilots has one... "Creep"

Forward yesterday
Makes me wanna stay
What they said was real
Makes me wanna steal
Livin' under a house
Guess I'm livin', I'm a mouse
All's I gots is time
Got no meaning, just a rhyme

Take time with a wounded hand <== not that your HAND will be
wounded
Guess I like to steal

I'm half the man I used to be

This I feel as the dawn
It turns to gray

I'm half the man I used to be

This feeling as the dawn
It turns to gray

Feelin' uninspired
Think I'll start a fire
Everybody run
Bobby's got a gun
Think you're kinda neat
Then she tells me I'm a creep (<== Better not, considering what
you're going through)
Friends don't mean a thing
Guess I'll leave it up to me.
