Help needed, please, with regards to both the lyrics AND the guitar

My daughter is doing a talent show in school on Friday 28 November, so
they are needed soonest.

Thanks for your help,

It was primarily a piano song.

To Grape: Whether "piano or guitar"-aren't "Chords just Chords..".??
Or did we miss the warning to-"never play the song Imagine on Guitar!!"

My point was unspoken. I would suggest the guitarist/singer use what ever key
best suited her voice.

It is common for sheet music to be transposed for piano or guitar to allow for
an easier key to play in. Piano arrangements are often transposed to C, Guitar
to G or E.

Lennons Imagine has a rather predominant hook consisting of a four note
descending line that sounds a bit more awkward if transposed to guitar where it
is not as natural a 'lick' to seque between the chords as it is on piano. It
can be played, but it may sound more natural to work up some other piece of
business more suitable to her guitar playing style, or to leave it out
altogether.

Thats what I meant by calling it predominantly a piano song. The piano being a
bit more percussive in nature, and chords being voiced differently. Like the
difference between Fats Domino and Chuck Berry.

Grape!!--You left out the most important part when you cut and pasted my
post--which was:

The term>>>>>>"Ha!<<<<<<<<<<<Means to be found "Humorously"--and like
"how
silly" it is for you to "Dispatch them" for asking for "guitar chords"
because a song
originated on a piano.. .
If it ain't "taccota in 'D'minor"--it can be put to guitar...Although if
memory serves
me right--"Eddie Van Halen" has already done the equivilent of "taccota
in 'D'minor"..

Now I just wonder if the person ever got the chords.. . .
Oh well..

In reponse to your Imagine response. Isn't playing music a little
differently called creativity? Also remember that a lot of Chuck Berry's
music was actually written by his piano player. (I believe his name was J.
Johnson, but don't hold me to that). Keith Richard credits Ian Stewart
with a lot of development of Stones guitar stuff.

Not that too many people care, but that was our Homecoming theme song this
year.
