Today, I went to a disc store and buy an album "The Dance Album", and
I'm really sure that the version of the song is not the same than the
version that I usually heard at the radio.
So my question is do you know wath is the album where I could find the
original version of "December 1963 (Oh, what a night)" ?
Thank you, and by the way, sorry for my bad english, I am french.

DECEMBER 1963 (OH WHAT A NIGHT)
Oh, what a night, late December back in '63
What a very special time for me as I remember what a night!
Oh what a night, you know I didn't even know her name
But I was never gonna be the same, what a lady, what a night!
Oh, I got a funny feeling when she walked in the room
And I, as I recall it ended much too soon
Oh what a night, hypnotizing, mesmerizing me
She was everything I dreamed she'd be, sweet surrender, what a night!
I felt a rush like a rolling bolt of thunder
Straining my head around and taking my body under
(Oh what a night!)
Oh, I got a funny feeling when she walked in the room
And I, as I recall it ended much too soon
Oh what a night! Doo dit doo dit dit doo dit doo dit dit
Oh what a night, why'd it take so long to see the light?
Seemed so wrong, but now it seems so right, what a lady, what a night!
I felt a rush like a rolling bolt of thunder
Straining my head around and taking my body under
(Oh what a night!)
I felt a rush like a rolling bolt of thunder
Straining my head around and taking my body under
Oh what a night! Doo dit doo dit dit doo dit doo dit dit

"December, 1963 (Oh, What a Night)" was a #1 hit for The 4 Seasons in 1976.
In 1994 they released a dance remix version of it which peaked at #14.
Sounds like you got that version.
The 1976 version was on the album "Who Loves You" by The 4 Seasons
(Warner 2900). I don't know if it's still available or not but I'm sure
you'll find compilation albums with the song.

I think Ken was only trying to say that the Rhino compilation contains a
copy of the original 1976 version as opposed to the 1994 dance remix. I
don't think he meant to imply that the 1988 Rhino compilation was actually
the first release of the song.
