I thought that was done by Santana, but then I'm not familiar with the
complete Fleetwood Mac discography.

Peter Green most certainly did write Black Magic Woman, but perhaps he
didn't write the lyrics, as he was mainly a guitar player. In fact, he
was an incredible blues player, but he had mental problems that caused
him to drop out of music. I heard he was playing again, a little bit,
though he still suffers from mental problems. The early Fleetwood Mac
was a much bluesier outfit than the one that later had all those
megahits in the 70s. Peter Green was considered to be as good or better
on guitar than Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, or any other British blues
guitarist, but perhaps he was too sensitive, too sensitive, for the
harsh, cruel world.

Here are some of the words to Black Magic Woman, just off the top of my
head:

Got a black magic woman, got a black magic woman,
I got a black magic woman, got me so blind I can't see
That she's a black magic woman,
and she's trying to make a devil out of me.

Don't turn your back on me baby, don't turn your back on me baby
Don't turn your back on me baby, stop messin' round with your tricks
Don't turn your back on me baby, or you might get left with just your
magic sticks.

Can't think of any more verses, maybe they just repeat the first verse
again. Actually, they might even repeat the first verse twice, then
finish with the last verse. That is how I remember it, but it was many
years ago.

Another good song from Fleetwood Mac around that time was Rattlesnake
Shake. Anyone have the lyrics for that one?
