Need a lyric fast? See if someone else has already asked the newsgroup at:

Chances are they have, especially if the song is getting airplay.
A little! :-) Their stuff is an extension of the "bhangra" music that
first hit the scene in the UK 10 years ago.
(The lead guy of Cornershop has Punjabi roots)
For the uninitiated - Asha Bhonsle, Muhammed Rafi, Lata Mangeshkar
are all very famous playback singers in the Indian film industry.
Corrections to lyrics follow :
: asha bosley
It's Asha BHONSLE.
(pronounced bhoslay)
: mohammed rupee 45
Muhammed RAFI
: lapamin gashcar 45
Lata Mangeshkar
: all of your radio 45
All India Radio ( yes, this radio station really exists).
cheers

I listened to it again - it may be "all on the radio - 45". which may
gel a little more.
By the way : people asked about the Punjabi lyrics.
At the start of the song :
Mai Keha Sadi Asha Jhinah Sadian Sukh Sabelian Nu Din Raat Nu Aoondian
Hain, Kimarh Karke
It translates to " Our hopes remains with us like a driving force day and
night in both good and bad times"
Sadi Rani : Our Queen (in Punjabi)
Also : if my memory serves me right, Lata Mangeshkar is Asha Bhonsle's
sister. bit of trivia there.
Thanks.

regarding Cornershop :
I saw them perform this and other songs live on BBC2's Later (with Jools
Holland.)
I admit I liked them all.
But everybody older than 25 must recognise that the style/ rhythm of the
song Brimful of Asha
owes an awfull lot to the Velvet Underground.
(compare it to the original versions of "Rock'nroll" for instance).
But I still do like it.
