cash may have done it, but the original hit was by hank snow in the 60s;
unusual for its rapid fire list of cities and so the lyrics are often
requested and i would be surprised if they don't show up in this thread soon
enough.
It was a gigantic hit here & since has been recorded in nearly every
country - You should hear the Japanese version, It has also been recorded
as "I've had everything, Doc" with the towns changed to illnesses........
menangitis, laryngitus, tonsilitus, appendicitus.... etc.......
As to your countries version, I guess it will have to be a long search
through your record stores back cataloque, or contact the company the ad
was for & search out the advertising company who made the ad, Or if it was
Johnny Cash singing, check through his management if it is off a CD. Its a
hard song to sing, so if he had to learn it for the ad, I am sure he would
want to record it

Greetings from Australia
John.
Williams And Ree (A comedy group) did a version of this song called
"I've seen pubic hair" very funny... damnit, now I'm going to have that
song in my head for the rest of the day.... I've seen pubic hair, man I've
seen pubic hair, cross the desert bare, man up in the mountain air, i've
seen short ones, round one, curly ones.....

Coming to you live from the Grand Old Opery, it's Bill Monroe and his Blue Grass Boys singing "Stick it where the Sun don't shine!"

Subject: I'VE BEEN EVERYWHERE

Recorded by Hank Snow
Written by Geoff Mack
[C] I was totin' my pack
Along the dusty Winnemucca road
When along came a semi
With a high and canvas covered load
"If you're [F] going to Winnemucca, Mack
With me you can ride."
So I [C] climbed into the cab
And then I settled down inside
He [G] asked me if I'd seen a road
With so much dust and sand
And I said, [C] [P]
"Listen, Bud I've traveled every road in this here land."
(Chorus)
[C] I've been everywhere, man
I've been everywhere, man
