The playout titles of the movie "Babe" have a 4-line lyric phrase sung by the
"mice" in a reggae version of the film's main theme music which in turn is
adapted from Saint-Saens' Symphony #3 in C minor (Organ Symphony). The phrase
is sung a total of 6 times before fading to an orchestral version of the theme
which sounds very like my CD version of the symphony but in fact has slightly
different meter.
The lyrics I have been able to make out are:
If I had words to make a day for you,
I'd sing you a morning golden and new.
I would make this day last for all time,
If you .........................................moonshine (or illusion?).
Basically I can't make out all of the last line and am not totally confident
in my interpretation of the first 3 lines.
I'd be very grateful if someone could fill in the blanks so I can sing this
beautiful sentiment correctly when I am in the mood.

Thank you very much.

I think it's " If you were mine, xxxx xx moonshine". But this was quite a
famous pop song in UK. I'll check on it. Meantime, if you have the movie,
this is also the song Hoggett sings to Babe in the scene where he's dancing
around the room.
