Can anyone post or email to me the lyrics to
'Green Grass & High Tides', a classic 70's
southern rock tune by The Outlaws?
With many humble thanks in advance,

Green Grass and High Tides
The Outlaws
In spite of what my friends who play Gibson Hollow-Bodies
with flat-wound strings say about the Outlaws, this is a great
song. I was working from a live recording, so some of the words
were difficult to pick out.

Verse:
Em G C
Any place you want to dream of where your soul is always free,
Em G C
Summer stage is drawing the curtain filled by every last commie[?],

Em G C
came from somewhere behind the scenes to see lovely people play
C
just for me.
Em G C (2 times)

Em G C
If I let you see this place where stories all ring true,
Em G C
Will you let me past your face to see what's really you?
Em G C
Its not for me to ask this quest as though I were a king,
Em G C
Or you'll have to love to live in fear before the birth of
C
tamborines take you there.

G C G
Green grass and high tides forever A--3-2-0-
G C G
Castles of stone swollen glory A--3-2-0-

Both places say, "we adore you." A--3-2-0-

As kings and queens bow before you.

Those who don't believe in pride, your souls will set you free.
Em G C

Em G C
To help you find yourself amongst the music and the rhyme that
C
attract you there.
