Can anyone tell me the real name and artist of this song? It was an 60's song
sung by a woman.

Thanks in advance.

Chapel Of Love
--- Dixie Cups

Spring is here (ooo-ooo-ooo)
The sky is blue (sky is blue)
Birds all sing (oh the birds all sing)
Like they do (yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah)
Today's the day (wah-hooo-oooo)
We'll say "I do" (ooo-oooo)
And we'll never be lonely anymore

Because we're Going to the chapel And we're gonna get married
Going to the chapel And we're gonna get married
Gee I really love you And we're gonna get married
Going to the chapel of love

(Interlude)

Bells will ring (ri-ii-iing) (bells will ring)
The sun will shine (hey hey hey yeah) (the sun will shine)
I'll be hers (yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah) (I'll be hers)
And she'll be mine (oh oh oh oh oh oh oh) (and she'll be mine)
We'll love until (we'll love until) (hey hey hey) (we'll love until)
The end of time (ooo hooo) (the end of time)
And we'll never be lonely anymore

Because we're Going to the chapel And we're gonna get married
Going to the chapel And we're gonna get married
Gee I really love you And we're gonna get married
Going to the chapel of love
Going to the chapel of love

OK, Victoria--I hope poster Su will forgive me but there seemed to be
some major errors in what he posted and I'm ashamed to say he may have
gotten it from Lyrics World--the one we currently have there is messed
up, too. Eroors like "((Bow bow bow bow bow)" They NEVER sing any such
thing--it's "whoa-oh-oh". Also, the line "birds all sing as they do"
SHOULD Be "birds all sing as if they knew." I have just listened to the
Dixie Cups' recording and have made all the necessary changes. I'm
cc'ing the webmaster here and it will be posted to Lyrics World.

Su is a she, not a he, and I didn't get the lyrics from Lyrics World.

I wanted to thank you all for your help. I'm not sure if this is the song that
my sister was looking for though. She definitely remembers the name Jimmy Love
(or Jimmy loved?) being sung in the words. Since my other sister remember the
same thing, I decided my older sister wasn't "totally" insane. I'll check with
them and see. Thanks again for all your wonderful help. You are all terrific.

Hugs,

Victoria
