I believe the guy who recorded this song was Joey Scarbury.

With a lot of help from others, the full title of the song was called
Theme From "Greatest American Hero" (Believe It Or Not) by Joey Scarbury
(1981)

Good luck

It's the theme from the TV show "The Greatest American Hero" with Robert Culp. I can't
remember the artist, but my mother has the record. If no one else can come up with it,
I can go and look at it at some point and tell you

The song was "Believe It or Not". I can't recall who sung it (Joey Gregorish?)(sp?). The song was the

theme song for the show "The Greatest American Hero" starring William Katt. The chorus went
something like:

Believe it or not
I'm walking on air
I never thought I could be so free
Flying away on a wing and a prayer
Believe it or not, its just me.

Cheers,

Nick

Flying away on a wing and a prayer

Who could it be?
Believe it or not it's just me

It's like a light of a new day
It came from out of the blue.
Breaking me out of the spell I was in
Making all of my wishes come true

Believe it or not
I'm walking on air

That's the theme to _Greatest American Hero_.

"Believe it or Not"

Written by Stephen Geyer, performed by Joey Scarbury

Look at what's happened to me
I can't believe it myself
Suddenly I'm up on top of the world

It should have been somebody else

Refrain:

Believe it or not, I'm walkin' on air

I never thought I could feel so free

Flyin' away on a wing and a prayer
Who could it be?
Believe it or not, it's just me

Just like the light of a new day
It hit me from out of the blue
Breakin' me out of the spell I was in
Makin' all of my wishes come true

Refrain

This is too good to be true
Look at me
Fallin' for you

Believe it or not
Believe it or not
Believe it or not
Believe it or not

Repeat and refrain and fade
