Who Sings "AMY"

I Was Named after this song done in the 70,s and I dont know who sings
it.Sombody please help me!

it goes like this

Amy what you gonna do ...I think I could stay with you ,
for a while maybee longer if I do...

Actually, it was "Amie" by Pure Prairie League on album named "Bustin' Out"
from 1972

That was sung by Pure Prarie League and is on a greatest hits package of
theirs.

I don't reconize these lyrics, but there was a song Amy by the Dutch group
Alquin. It's from their 1976 record 'Best kept secret'. Great album, BTW

I can tell you for sure it was Pure Praire League that sang 'Amy'. I
havn't been able to find the lyrics on the net yet but that's the group for
sure. If you don't get the lyrics through this newsgroup, a good bet would
be to call a big record store and ask them either for 'Pure Praire League's
Greatist Hits' or see if the song Amy is available on some compilation of
70's songs, Country Rock Greats, etc.
