Can't locate the lyrics for this one on any of the major search
engines. Hoping that someone in this newsgroup may know them or be
able to give me a source. Any help appreciated.

Thanks!
Bill

This is how I remember the lyrics... I don';t know if it is all of
them...??

All around the water tank
waiting for a train,
a thousand miles away from home
standing in the rain..
I walked up to a brakeman
just to give him a line of talk
he said if you've got money boy,
I'll see that you don't walk
I haven't got a nickle
not a penny can I show
get off get off you railroad bum
and he slamed the boxcar door

He let me off in Texas
a state I dearly love
wild open spaces around me
the moon the stars above
no body seems to want me
or lend a helpin' hand
I was on my way from
Frisco Bay
headin' back to Alabam
now my pocket book is empty
and my heart is full of pain
I'm a thousand miles away from home
waiting for a train..

I then do verse one again... I don't know if this is the whole song,
but that is as near as I can come to it... NOT BACK FOR A CANUCK
'EH????

hope it helped kk
