Crimson and Clover
Tommy James and the Shondells
Oh, now I don't hardly know her,
But I think I could love her,
Crimson and clover
I wish she'd come walking over,
I'm waiting to show her,
Crimson and clover
Over and over.
Yes, my, my such a sweet thing,
I want to do everything,
What a beautiful feeling,
Crimson and clover
Over and over.

The song is "Crimson and Clover" performed by Tommy James and the Shondells
(they performed "Mony, Mony", "I think we're alone now" and "Crystal Blue
Persuasion" among others). Here are the lyrics I grabbed from the OLGA
site awhile back. Hope this helps.

(Tommy James/Peter Lucia)
[Notes: 1) This is a deceptively simple song; like Jefferson Airplane's
"Somebody To Love", there are only four chords in it, but no two verses
are identical. 2) Tommy James played all the guitar parts on this, and
he usually played in open E; you might want to try it.]

Crimson and clover, over and over (repeat to fade)
The name of the song is "Crimson and Clover" and it was done by Tommy
James and the Shondells -- maybe in the early- to mid-sixties. They
used lots of reverb during parts of it. I remember a cover several years
ago -- but I can't for the life of me remember who did it. A female
vocalist, as I recall.
Hope this helps!

I thought I'd post it to the group also. Not real pretty in this
format, but it gets the words across.
Electric Boogie (Electric Slide) by Marcia Griffiths
You can't see it, It's Electric
You've got to feel it, It's Electric
Ooo, it's shocking, It's Electric
You're gonna miss the filly with the bubblin electric belly
She's a moving long electric She's sure got the boogie
You've got to know it It's Electric, Boogie Woogie Woogie
That you can't hold it It's Electric, Boogie Woogie Woogie
But you know it's fair
Here there and everywhere.......
I've got to......move
I only want to party right
I've got to groove, groove, groove
And from this music I just can't hide
Are you coming...
....with me
Come let me take you on a party ride
And I'll teach you, teach you, teach you
I'll teach you the Electric Slide
Some say it's mystic It's Electric, Boogie Woogie Woogie
You can't resist it It's Electric, Boogie Woogie Woogie
You can't do without it It's Electric, Boogie Woogie Woogie Pickin
up with somebody she's a pick at a peeping party
She's a movin' light weight She's sure got the boogie
You don't want to lose it It's Electric, Boogie Woogie Woogie
But you can't choose it It's Electric, Boogie Woogie Woogie
But you know it's fair
Here there and everywhere
I've got to move
Come let me take you on a party ride
And I'll teach you, teach you, teach you
I'll teach you the Electric Slide

The best known remake I know of is Joan Jett's in the early 80's. It's on
the "I Love Rock'n'Roll" album (another remake incidently). Hey, has
anyone heard her rendition of Leslie Gore's "You don't Own Me" on the "Bad
Reputation" LP? Not too shabby ...

Hiya Courtney,
"Crimson and Clover" was performed originally by Tommy James and the
Shondells in the late '60's. I have the lyrics with "tab" (tablature)
chords included. Got this from 'alt.guitar.tab' newsgroup awhile back.
Hope this'll do the trick for ya.
