Hi, Ruth -
What the original poster didn't say is that she wanted the lyrics in OLD
English. I did find her some possible versions, but she's looking for a
specific set of lyrics that was translated into Old English and recorded
quite recently on a Christmas album. Actually, the "Ave Maria" did not take
its present form until about the 15th century, which is much more recent
than Old English - that makes the recording kind of an anachronism, I'd
think.
I think all the various musical renditions of "Ave Maria" follow the Latin
words above quite closely - although there may be some words or phrases
repeated for emphasis.
