i looked up on http://www.av.com on their translation site and it didn't translate
"deperir". I know "gris" is grey/gray, so I'm assuming the "deperir a gris"
is supposed to
mean "fade to grey" When I looked up "fade to grey" in the translation server
it said
"fanez-vous au gris" and it also said "fade" = "se fanent"

Soooo.. well... here's the 80s song of the week translation.

Hmm, an oldie but goodie! Here are the actual lyrics with the correct French
which is, essentially, a word-for-word translation of the English. I
remember this like it was yesterday, especially during my years at
University in the early 80s where I did a degree in French! A wonderful
time. Like Cher said, "If I could turn back time"
