I'm looking for the lyrics for a comic number from the late seventies called
"Whatza Matta You"...if you have them, they'd be much appreciated...needed
for a benefit concert...

The song is actually called "Shaddup Your Face" by Joe Dolce. Sorry, don't
have the lyrics, but this may help someone to help you.

Chorus is roughly...

What's-a-matter you? (Hey!)
Gotta no respect.
Who d'ya think you're foolin'?
Why you look-a so sad?
What's-a-matter you?
It's-a nice-a place
Ah, shaddup your face!

Fine stuff, I think you will all agree!

Ian
(who has just spent 15 minutes arguing with the spell-checker over this!)

The song is called "Shadupp You Face" by Joe Dolce. I met him once in 1980
when a friend of mine (Nigel Green) was his manager, and he brought him to
our radio station in Hong Kong for an interview. Nice chap - but a
seriously crap song. Still, it got him his 15 minutes. All these years I
thought he was a Brit but living in Australia, but it turns out he's
American (Ohio). Phew!!! It's bad enough having to claim Jive Bunny as one
of our own.

Have looked at www.lyrics.ch but they don't seem to be there, I don't have
the song (thankfully), but to get you started, and from memory

Whatsa matter you (hey),
ain't you got no respect,
whadya think you do (hey),
itsa kinda late,
......
.....
shaddup you face!

GOOD LUCK

Tom

I don't have the lyrics, but the song is called "Shaddap You Face", and it's
by Joe Dolce. Maybe that will help you find it.
