partial lyrics-bluestars to gold?

need help finding out artist and title of song....
its about that irish/american family during ww2 that had five sons on one us
navy ship that got sunk.....and they changed the blue stars in the window to
gold ones.....
the song is kinda husker du/bob mould sounding......
i have searched various search engines...and still have come up blank on any
hints
any help, greatly appreciated

The song is actually called "Sullivan" and it is by Caroline's Spine.
