"Everything Old is New Again" was written by Peter Allen and Carole
Bayer Sager; copyright date is 1974. It originally appeared on Peter
Allen's album "Continental American" and is also on his "At His Best"
and "Live at Carnegie Hall" albums. Don't know who might have covered
it.

This song also appeared in the Bob Fosse movie "All That Jazz"
starring Roy Scheider. The daughter and girlfriend of Scheider's
character perform a dance number to this song in his appartment.
Now that's entertainment! ;^)

"Everything Old Is New Again" was sung by Bing Crosby in one
of his last television specials. The original recording by
Peter Allen is also featured prominently in Bob Fosse's film
"All That Jazz."
When trumpets were mellow
And everyone only had one fellow
No need to remember when
Cause everything old is new again!
Dancin' at your Long Island Jazz-Age parties
Waiter, let me have some more Bacardis
Let's order now what they ordered then
Cause everything old is new again
Get out your top hat,
Tap shoes and tails
Let's go backward when forward fails
And movie stars you thought were long dead
Now are framed beside your bed
Don't throw the past away
We'll all need it some rainy day.
Dreams can come true again
When everything old is new again.
Get out your top hat,
Tap shoes and tails
Let's go backward when forward fails
Leave Greta Garbo alone
Be a movie star all your own
And don't throw the past away
We'll all need it some rainy day.
Dreams can come true again
When everything old is new again.
I might fall (I might fall)
In love (in love)
With...
you again!
