In a Beatles song, there is a part where bagpipes are played. Can
anyone tell me, and mail me, the lyrics and title of the song? Thanks!

Can't come up with a BEATLES song at the moment but the pipes are
prevalent in "Mull Of Kintyre" on one of Paul's Wings LP's.

That song is "Baby You're A Rich Man" from the Magical Mystery Tour
album. At http://www.srv.net/~roxtar/beatles3.html#magical, I link the
title to the lyrics on another site.

If memory serves me right, "Mull of Kintyre" was released only as a
single in 1977. It is, however, available on _Wings' Greatest Hits_.

Here are the lyrics.

Mull Of Kintyre

Mull of Kintyre, oh mist rolling in from the sea
my desire is always to be here
Oh, Mull of Kintyre

Far have I travelled and much have I seen
Darkest of mountains with valleys of green
Past painted deserts the sun sets on fire
as he carries me home to the Mull of Kintyre

Mull of Kintyre, oh mist rolling in from the sea
my desire is always to be here
Oh, Mull of Kintyre

Sweep through the heather like deer in the glen
Carry me back to the days I knew then
Nights when we sang like a heavenly choir
of the life and the times of the Mull of Kintyre

Mull of Kintyre, oh mist rolling in from the sea
my desire is always to be here
Oh, Mull of Kintyre

Smiles in the sunshine and tears in the rain
Still take me back where my memories remain
Flickering embers go higher and higher
as they carry me back to the Mull of Kintyre

Mull of Kintyre, oh mist rolling in from the sea
my desire is always to be here
Oh, Mull of Kintyre

Mull of Kintyre, oh mist rolling in from the sea
my desire is always to be here
Oh, Mull of Kintyre

You're correct, but "Mull" was released as a single the year before.
Wings broke up in 1981 (but what does that have to do with the
question?).
