Are you sure your message is being cancelled? I can think of no reason to do
that. Your ISP might automatically remove messages from *his* server after a
few days to conserve space but, by that time, your message will have
propagated to all of the other news servers around the world, so it shouldn't
be a problem for you.

Also, most newsreader software only downloads a given message *once* unless
you specifically re-request a range of message IDs or an individual message
ID. So, once you've downloaded your own message, you're not likely to see it
again. But don't worry - everyone else *will* see it (if they choose to
look). Maybe this fooled you into thinking that your message had disappeared?

If you still don't trust your ISP's news feed, you can check the newsgroup
for replies to your message by searching the alt.music.lyrics archives at the
a.m.l. web site (see URL in signature below).
