I'm experiencing the same thing Judah. No need to refer to him as
"the man who wrote Suzanne"...just mention "Hallelujah" and everybody
knows; although they may not have heard "Everybody Knows" yet.
I still don't know... Not really... You do?...
Hey, but that's not a complaint you hear tonight. After all, I too
I am still a mystery.... even to myself I am.... in fact, most of all
to myself.
Well, that's part of what keep life interesting and worthwhile. I
would not like being knowing myself fully, not before it is time to
move on anyway.
Indeed, uncertainty does prove herself to be a guiding light.
Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.

I'd rather embrace faith over certainty or doubt. Anytime.
For she opens a much wider door to the infinite number of
possibilities available and does not trample on imagination and on the
creative process the same way doubt and certainty too often do. Also
it feels to me that she allows for more intimacy with life's
mysterious complexity. That is, of course, if faith is not the kind
that gets clothed in that one-fits-all fundamental costume, you know
the know that sells so well when people get frightened by the
uncertainty that surrounds them and feel a need to hold on to
something external and familiar. Thanks God for all those bold
mystical explorers who will not allow fear to stop them from walking
the line of the unknown whenever faith and the small still voice
directs them to move forward.
Or sometimes, sideways? As usual, Melia, you are a confection for my
spirit.
The words are sweet on the tongue and easy as honey to swallow.
I guess I was lucky to grow up in Canada. Back in '67, when Cohen's
first album came out, we were already being taught his poetry in high
school.
I still remember and love his poem, "A Kite is a Victim"
