Leonard Cohen performed at Madison Square Garden last night... He
was outstanding, imo... absolutly magnificent... How on earth does
he
do it? He is in his mid 70's and he has phenominal energy... He
performed for over 3 hours... He sung all his wonderful songs to a
sold out crowd... He is truly a living legend, a class act... He
promised the audience that he would "give them his all", and he most
emphatically delivered on his promise... He put his whole body,
mind,
heart and soul into the performance...

Leonard Cohen is a living legend. He did NOT write *one good*
song... he wrote MANY *great* songs("suzanne","bird on a wire",
"anthem","I'm your man","Halleluah","First we take Manhattan","so long
marianne" and on and on and on, all his songs were gems)... as I said
he performed for an enthuisiastic, sold out audience for over 3 hours,
he is hardly washed up... He was in top form...

So you say. The only song most people have heard is "Suzanne" &
that's only because Spanky & Our Gang did a better version of it than
LC. When did he ever have a hit song with a "bullet"!!!???

I'm glad you enjoyed yourself at the concert but what makes you think
you can post your thoughts about it in here & that anyone here cares
about LC? Steely Dan!!! Not LC!!

I post about LC here, becuase LC's music reminds me of SD's
music... they are both brilliant, literate, innovative, quirky,
bohemian peformers...

So is Snoop Dogg's or Bon Jovi's music reminds me of SD's music that
means I can post whatever I want in regards to their music here in the
SD newsgroup? Wow! Cool!

Enya's music reminds me of SD.
Frank Zappa's music reminds me of SD.
Bernie Williams' guitar playing reminds me of SD.
Don Preston's keyboards playing reminds me of SD.

Get ready for a whole buncha posts about these musicians soon!

Jordy, Leonard Cohen is great, but please stop posting about him in
this newsgroup. Are you doing it just to be annoying? You're
succeeding. You're also alienating people from LC by being an
extremely obnoxious representative of his music. Why don't you create
your own LC fan group on Google? Then you can post whatever you want
whenever you want.

If you have something to say about Steely Dan, go right ahead and say
it. Otherwise... <crickets>
