Hey gang. I really enjoy Heart's Led Zep covers from their past tours
(and current!) and thought maybe some other Heart fans exist here,
like myself. I heard a leaked track from RVC entitled Wheels and
understand that Sony was scrambling for the opportunity to release it
with the band. It sounds like Ann and Nancy went back and hung out
with their 1978 counterparts and did some first rate collaborating
during their stay. I can't wait for the entire CD to get here
already!!!

Only a fag would.

I have multiple DUIS, beat my kids, paid $360K for a house worth $275K
got handed a divorce and a Restaining Order to keep away from all of
them. I'm 36, got a beer belly that looks like I'm pregnant 9 months.
Gawd, isn't life good!

Not a huge fan, but I like them. I've seen them live a couple of times
and they alway did a LZ cover and did them well.

I'm reminded of a review I read when LZ's first record came out. The
reviewer (Christgau? Bangs?) said something like, "the singer screams
like somebodies kid sister on meth." Robert Plant couldn't even do that
for very long, but Ann Wilson can still do it!

But you're a fag.

If you have yet to, check out their first Greatest Hits collection:
live cover of "Rock 'N' Roll" included.

I first heard of Heart, ala Ralph Bakshi's "American Pop." Crazy On
You was part of its incredible Soundtrack. It still brings back many
fond memories of watching HBO & WHT as a horny adolescent!eh Yes,
Nancy does "Battle Of Evermore" better than Page! LOL! I have no idea
what he was playing in "It Might Get Loud," but it sounded nothing
like the studio version, let alone the song itself! Plus, the acoustic
intro to Crazy On You is far more intricate than Stairway.

If Ann could finally shed a few pounds, she could play Janis in the
upcoming feature bio, rather than the laughable Amy Adams! LOL!

While this thread is almost 10 Years Gone (eh), I had to come back to this eloquent beaut. ehe Have you not listened to early Heart, ala Barracuda, Crazy On You, Magic Man, et al? They were a hard-rock Zeppelinesque band with two of the hottest female rockers of their era. They are also one of few bands whom Plant admires. They performed Stairway live when Zep was honored at the Kennedy Center Honors by President Obama. Do ya think Zep is going to allow just any band to get on stage and play tribute?
