Hopefully there will be another time.

Robert has said he might someday retire there!

FWIW, he loves South Car-0-lahna, perhaps more
than NW Florida.

<dances a jig> Well I was born in Eineskillen, N.Eire, moved to the United

Well, Shannon we must have something in common in a
ITTOD kind of way. I mean aside from the obvious, a certain
hobby we have.

After being born and living in NYC for
19 years I came to Ireland and have been living here for most of
the time since(except for 5 years in South America).

You're coming back here in 2 years? You'll find it changed!

I think that Robert really would like Central Florida best. I mean we have
theme parks and then there is me and we have nice weather and then there
is me:) (we have Lee and Ludi too:). I mean if Robert came to Orlando i'd
let him sleep on my couch!

No offense, but Central Florida has theme parks, traffic, a high
population density, and is flat as a pancake.

NW Florida has forests, rolling hills, practacally zero traffic
and the best beaches in the continental US. You can go east, west
or south and you just wont find this:

The director of the Laboratory for Coastal
Research at the University of Maryland, Dr.
Stephen Leatherman (aka "Dr. Beach")
studies the impact of erosion, storm damage,
and human intervention on coastal areas.

Dr. Beach considers physical factors such as
sand softness, color, water temperature and
wave size; biological factors such as water
color, wildlife and smell; and human use and
impacts such as trash, access, noise, and
intensity of use when rating a beach.

Dr. Beach tries to balance both the
manmade environment and nature when
evaluating a beach.

Dr. Beach tells us that the quartz found on
our beaches came from the Appalachian Mountains
millions of years ago. Over the eons, other sand
components have been ground up and washed away,
leaving a feathersoft, blindingly white, quartz
powder.

Dr. Beach likens our beach sand to "... a bar of
Ivory Soap -- it's ninety-nine and forty-four
one-hundredths percent pure quartz ..."

This is the finest, whitest sand in the world
that I've seen. The beaches are dazzling --
pure white sands, melting into clear emerald
green waters.

I have to agree Joe lives in a very nice spot. Beautiful
beaches and generally nicer than a lot of other spots.

However Joe, you must come clean. you seem to know a lot
about where RP goes to relax. You're always hinting. Some
of us need to know this info more than you and we need to know
with a few days warning so we pack, travel and accidentally
bump into him. Since there is not much chance of a tour this summer it
becomes really important that we know the plans. So Joe please, a
little e-mail would suffice and would make a few of us very happy.
We promise to tell you all about it!!! ~The beach, the weather, etc.

And oh yeah, who was talking to Robert about retiring?I never heard that
one before.

thanking you in advance,

And he could do so much better too! He needs to take
some advice from the Van Halen folks on where to stay
(or just ask Joe - who will point him in the right
direction as well. Apparently, I share the same great
taste as Eddie. [Listen to Eddie, Robert].

Finally, I have some good interview video of Robert
going off about how great it is here...

That's why we don't visit. (I figured I'd tell you now. We only visit
countries that know how to spell.)

Don't get me started on 'colours'. ;)

You could always stop in and see my Dad and my little brothers in
Charlotte - One of my Bros loves Zep, one likes 'em and the last one needs
some Leducation - Dad likes Willie Nelson and Bob Dylan. I lived there for
a year, in between my TX stint and my current FL stint. I was pretty bored,
but there is some beautiful scenery. I hear it's grown since I've been
gone. I do remember one restaurant that had great frog legs, but you kinda'
hafta' be frog leg fan for that.
