Official Press Release:
Now through July 31st, the Art of Noise are offering
fans the chance to create their own customized CD with the online
purchase of the new CD, entitled THE SEDUCTION OF CLAUDE DEBUSSY, out
on June 29th on ZTT/Universal Records. When customers buy THE SEDUCTION
OF CLAUDE DEBUSSY, they will be offered the opportunity to build their
own CD, choosing from 12 rare, quite strange and, in many senses
hard-to-find tracks.
This special promotion is currently available through Tower Records
Online http://www.towerrecords.com
The various b-sides, outsides, insides and rarities being offered
include the b-side to "Close (To the Edit)" called "A Time to Hear
(Whoıs Listening)," various early diversions of "Beat Box" including
one performed "live" in the studio, an early preparation of "A Time for
Fear (Whoıs Afraid)" called "A Time to Clear (Up) and unreleased pieces
from the "Into Battle" session such as "Memory Loss," "Structure," "The
Subject Has Moved Left" and "Resin."
THE SEDUCTION OF CLAUDE DEBUSSY is probably the first Art of Noise
album since 1985 with founding members Trevor Horn, Anne Dudley and
Paul Morley all in the fold. Joining the collective or entity, as
theyıre occasionally known, or post-pop group, or legends in their own
playtime in its latest incarnation is guitarist/video artist Lol Creme,
best known for his work with 10cc and Godley & Creme. Among the
collaborators on the project, at various times taking on the role of
lead singer in a group that doesnıt have a lead singer, are actor John
Hurt, classical singer Sally Bradshaw, pop singer Donna Lewis, soul
singer Carol Kenyon and the master MC, Rakim.

Tempting. But it still won't make up for having to buy a naff album in
the first place.
