Close to You
Written by Glenn Tipton & K.K. Downing

So many years that we were one
So many things we've done
The memories alive
But most of me has died

As I struggle with events
I'm offered words of strength
They do not comprehend
The passions we possessed

People tell me what to do
Tell me how I should get through
But they haven't got a clue
No one else comes close to you

I see your eyes before they closed
They looked right inside my soul
And they asked me not to grieve
I tried but still I bleed
I wake up, I break up
I try hard to shake off
The desolation as it grows
As nothing comes close

And as I stand here by the grave
And the wind calls out your name
I know that time could never heal
The emptiness I feel

People try to give me hope
Tell me how I should let go
But they'll never really know
'Cause there's nothing else comes close

People tell me what to do
Tell me how I should get through
But they haven't got a clue
No one else comes close to you

I don't know if you've ever heard this song. It may provide some
comfort in times like this. I always think of this song when someone
passes away.

When I die, I want them to play something like "Painkiller."

I am not sure that Painkiller is a funeral type song. Have a little
consideration for JgnlntBass.

I didn't mean any disrespect. I seriously want non-funeral songs played at
my service. I want them to play what I liked.

I guess we all can choose what we want played. Usually it's more
than one song, so..what else?

I don't think he meant any disrespect, just stating what he would like
done.

I don't even want a wake/funeral. Why piss away all that money when it
can be put to better use. As it stands right now my will states that I
am to be cremated and then they can do whatever they want with the
ashes. A lot of my money goes to my brother and my nephew but my
property/home gets sold and half the money is given to my local humane
society and the other half to children's cancer research. Personally I
think that a child's parents should not have to worry how they are
going to pay for their child's cancer or any other disease treatment,
it should be automatically paid by our crooked govt. The same goes for
the elderly, they have paid their dues for years and deserve to be
taken care of the right way.

Automatically paid by our "crooked govt." I think the choice of
words to describe our govt. here says it all.

"Pay for it?"

They never pay for it in the way any regular citizen pays for it.

And this is in no way a disagreement with what you said about the
children and elderly. Just a comment on the "crooked govt." thing.
