Hi people!
Can anybody tell me where I can get Jd lyrics from?
and
another question:
What is the name of this song (I think its on unknown pleasures), it
starts with a real bright bass, and what I can make out from the lyrics
ist just "on the...where the bus stands, its a nomansland" and in
the end something like "i got the spirit" or so.

Thanx!

I think the song you're looking for is "Disorder" which is the first
track on Unknown Pleasures. As for the lyrics, Deborah Curtis (the
wife) lists all of the official lyrics in her Ian Curtis biography
"Touching from a Distance" but this list does not contain songs like
"The Drawback" and "Inside the Line" which are only available on
bootlegs. I don't own it but I've been told the box set has a more
comprehensive list of lyrics but it will set you back about $60 US.

The song is Disorder, it's on the first album "Unknown Pleasures"
The lyrics plus some unused ones are printed in the book
"Touching From A Distance" by Deborah Curtis or they're also in the booklet
that comes with the box set "Heart And Soul".

you can find joy division's lyrics in the following two sites, and in many
other ones, i suppose,

http://www.net1plus.com/users/steff/start.htm : some lyrics, and a weird
sound of jd

http://www.warren.org.uk/music/joyd.html : all the lyrics

and by the way, here's the lyrics to disorder (taken from the second one):

Disorder
I've been waiting for a guide to come and take me by the hand
Could these sensations make me feel the pleasures of a normal man
New sensations barely interest me for another day
I've go the spirit, lose the feeling, take the shock away
It's getting faster, moving faster now, it's getting out of hand
On the tenth floor, down the back stairs, it's a no man's land
Lights are flashing, cars are crashing, getting frequent now
I've got the spirit, lose the feeling, let it out somehow
What means to you, what means to me, and we will meet again
I'm watching you, I'm watching her - I take no pity from your friends
Who is right, who can tell, and who gives a damn right now
Until the spirit, new sensation takes hold - then you know --
I've got the spirit, but lose the feeling, feeling, feeling --
