Faith Hill will open 'Sunday Night Football,' again

Faith Hill is performing the opening theme to NBC “Sunday Night
Football” again this season.

The song “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night” is set to “I Hate Myself
for Loving You,” which Joan Jett performed. The song will debut Sept.
11 to kick off the “Sunday Night Football” telecast. The New York Jets
will host the Dallas Cowboys on WESH-Channel 2.

“I wait all year for ‘Sunday Night [Football],’ ” five-time Grammy
winner Hill in a release. “Somehow the season wouldn’t feel the same
without seeing everyone from NBC/Sunday Night Football over the summer
[when we record and film the open]. It makes it feel like the wait for
the season is somehow shorter.”
