Nine to the Universe does not contain any jams with Kirk.

I mentioned in my last post, they jammed once at Ronnie Scott's club, but
it was never recorded.

There's no evidence that Hendrix jammed with Coltrane, but there are
stories about a Hendrix/Kirk jam. No tapes of this have surfaced have
surfaced so far (don't we wish!). 'Nine to the Universe' was released on
vinyl in 1980 and has never been out on CD (except for a bootleg). It
doesn't feature Kirk but does have (edited) jams with organist Larry
Young, guitarist Jim McCarty,Band of Gypsys, and the band from Woodstock.
Definitely worth a listen (hey what Hendrix isn't???)...

I seriously doubt it, but I'm pretty sure he did collaborate with Roland
Kirk, and I believe that I did see an album one time by them - maybe "Nine
to the Universe"? (Should have bought it then - I've never seen it

Correct, Jimi jams on nine to the universe with:

2). Jimi/Jimmy Jam

Roland Robinson
Mitch Mitchell
3). Young/Hendrix
Larry Young
Billy Cox
Mitch Mitchell
4). Easy Blues
Larry Lee
Billy Cox
Mitch Mitchell
5). Drone Blues
Billy Cox
Mitch Mitchell

I don't think so. Although on Carlos Santana's album "Milagro" you have
Carlos "sample" John on the final cut of the Album, which also includes a
solo by MIles Davis also. I have heard of a basement tape of unknow orgin
that was offer by some guy in Italy of Miles and Jimi playing together. I
don't think that John would have appreciated Jimi's drug induced
lifestyle, ( I assume that after the statement a "Love Supreme" made that
the two may have been able to communicate. However I think that there was
a bilateral effect on Jimi and Miles, I think the two may have met but the
two where diffently into the same groove that came from their Coltrane
inspired desire to freely express. Well, I know that this a highly
speculative opinion. I offer it not as fact, just a feeling. Via con dios,
Steve

While Jimi and Miles did meet, and likely had some sort of a jam, nothing
was ever recorded. There were plans for an official session, but that
didn't come together either. I think deatils are in "Electric Gypsy" by
Glebbeek and Shapiro.

The tapes that have been reported as Miles, are in fact another horn
player altogether, NOT Miles Davis. Too bad, as it would have been
interesting to hear a true collaboration.
