Wasn't this video his last appearance? How well is the video shot adn how
good does it sound?

It was not his last concert but close to the end and the audio and video is
great. Jimi looks pretty tired and burnt though. --- Rob McFee

Very tired. I'd much rather listen to his cheerful side. However, he was
practically in dreamland that night, and his dreams were intense.

This was not Jimi's last appearance. To my knowledge, Jimi's last
performance was at the "Love and Peace Festival" on the Isle of
Fehmarn, Germany.

The video is shot better than most footage of Jimi Hendrix; there is
more wide shots, not just close-ups. However, it still leaves much to
be desired. You can see Mitch sometimes but rarely Billy. The quality
of the film varies and sometimes glitches are visible. The sound is
good. I have the Rhino version of the film and it is severely and
poorly edited. The chop-job that was done to Machine Gun made me so
mad I felt like throwing the videotape at the wall and stomping on it.
The dramatic first solo is gone, the first transition part is gone...
it's a real disgrace and should be a crime for people to edit Jimi's
work.

You're all right, I think the Isle of Wight festival was Jim Morrison's last
performance

Unfortunately, I was never pleased with this shoot and audio. It was
really sad to see him such rough shape. Apparently he'd been up for a long
time as his appearance kept getting delayed. (I believe).
It wasn't long after that he left us.
