Looking for rare Jim Croce...

Looking for any unreleased Croce studio tracks, especially the
alternate version of "Gunga Din" that was pressed as a 45 RPM by
Capitol.

Also interseted in live Croce audio, video, memorabilia...

I never heard of any allternate version of "Gunga Din", i only know, that there
is a version of "Gunga Din" on the FACETS album from him.
Which i already have myself fortunately.

I am friends with a cousin of Jim's. His cousin Steve told me that
during the time of the "Croce" LP, when Jim was signed to Capitol, Jim
recorded an alternate version of Gunga Din. It only exists as a
one-sided 7" 45 RPM; presumably, it was a test pressing. It was never
commercially released. Depending on who you ask, it was either recorded
for the Croce LP, but unused, or it was recorded after the LP, when JIm
had some extra studio time. It actually has a Capitol CATALOG NUMBER,
but I don't have that info here at work.

Might interest you to know that there is also a demo from the Croce
sessions called "The East Side of New York" which remains unreleased to
this day.
