I just recently bought the Thick as a Brick LP. I already have the
Compact Disc and the 24-Karat Gold Disc, but until I got the LP, I never
noticed this. On the cover picture, Little Milton's so-called lover (can't for
the life of me remember her name) is lifting up her skirt so we can see her
panties. Strange how I never noticed that before. Does anyone know why she is
doing this. Just another little joke by Ian?

Hi. To tell you the truth, I don't know how much of a fan of
Jethro Tull I am. I've never listen to his music too much. Anyway, I used
to have an album that I loved. Actually, I played it so much that the tape
in unusuable. It had an earlier version of Rocks on the Road, (I don't
know if there are any other versions but I said earlier because the music
was kept "simple"), Christmas Song and others. If anybody knows the name
of the album, please write me through e-mail so I can buy it.

Sounds like "A Little Light Music", the live album from about 5 years ago.

The best released version (there are 3 AFAIK) of "Rocks On The Road" is the
live-at-the-radio-station version on the "Rocks On The Road" EP.

In my opinion, TAAB's cover was simply genius mixed with youthful
arrogance. The uplifted skirt was 1972's image of NAUGHTY. Tull, as
any _Benefit_ lover will tell you, was indicative of Tull's generally
rebellious attitude toward the Establishment.
Nothing terribly meaningful, nor understandable -- in the context of
the Jethro Tull of the 1990's!

This is quite a joke by Ian. If you read all of the newspaper articles on the
cover and on the inside, you will read that that girl became pregnant and claimed
Little Milton to be the father. I believe that either she slept with the photographer
or just plain slept with any guy she could find. I find it statisfying that Ian
went this far to have fun with the album cover.

As I have replaced my lp collection with Cds this is one lp that I will
keep in my collection (along with all of the Beatle lps) because of the
Multi page newspaper foldout. It must be quite some time since that has
been out of print.
