The Brand New Heavies are back. The British funk and R&B band hold a
curious place in the world of Blues/Soul. From their groovy acid jazz
debut in 1985 to their more familiar incarnation with vocalist N'Dea
Davenport, The Brand New Heavies has had moderate success on both
sides of the Atlantic.

In North America, most became hip to the Heavies on the strength of
hit singles like "Stay This Way", "Dream on Dreamer" and "Sometimes".
When Davenport left the band in the mid-1990's, so too did a bit of
the band's popularity. Get Used to It (Delicious Vinyl), heralds the
return of Davenport and, hopefully, mainstream popularity.
