The station had given away tickets to a few lucky fans and kept the
location of this special concert a secret, BUT it was broadcast live and my
tape machine was rolling! The recording turned out well, and I'm willing
to make a few copies for folks if they want to add this set to their IG
collection (format is audio cassette). Please e-mail me if you're
interested.
Also announced on the radio--3 concerts by the Girls are planned in Seattle
this summer; no dates yet. YES!

*Last night, Seattle radio station The Mountain (103.7 FM) broadcast a live
*set from the Girls. Approximately 40 minutes, mostly new songs from the
*upcoming album, a little conversation while Emily replaced a string. It was
*pretty cool...
I heard it! It was amazing! I tried to tell the list about it a couple
of days ago... I hope everyone in Seattle saw my post, as it got no
responses. :-( Poor me. Feel sorry for me. ;-) Did you hear what they
said about Bumbershoot? Amy said, "We always love playing in Seattle...
except for Bumbershoot. That scared the shit out of us!" and Emily said,
"It was like a nightmare and a dream all at the same time," or something
to that effect. They clarified what I assumed they had been feeling about
the Bumbershoot show: way too many people, not enough real IG fans and no
preperation. Amy said last night that they just thought they'd be playing
in a big field.

I can't wait! "Shame on You," "Shed My Skin (or something like that)" and
"Get Out the Map" are already three of my favorite songs!!
