It's " I don't want to talk about it". The Indigo Girls' version of
Rod Stewart's hit (written by Danny Whitten). It features on the
Philadelphia soundtrack. It was also released as a single.

I've got this one!

The song is called "Don't wanna Talk About It" and it is a cover. I don't know
who wrote it but it is on the "Philadelphia" sountrack. It is in the movie when
Tom Hanks is talking to his mom early in the movie. That is a pretty good
soundtrack with some great tunes from the Boss and Neil YOung.

Hope that helps,
Cliff

Well, it's called something like 'I don't wanna talk about it'. It's on
the Philadelphia soundtrack album (as an Indigo Girls cover) and was
previously done by Rod Stewart (yes indeed) and originally (as I recall)
by Everything But the Girl

It's on the Strange Fire album.

"If you stay just a little bit longer...won't you listen to my heart."

Unfortunately, I don't know the titles of the songs on that album
as well as I know the others...my copy is a dub.

but now at least you know what album to look on :)

: Betty,

: The name of the song is "I dont' wanna talk about it"

: Written by Danny Whitten (I believe that was his last name), who was a
: Guitar player in the original incarnation of Crazy Horse, the band that
: backed Neil Young on "Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere"
: ( A great album, by the way), and on one other album, whose title
: escapes me at the time.

: Anyhow Danny Whitten wrote this song, and shortly after died of a heroin
: overdose, after which Neil Young wrote the song "The Needle and the Damaga
: Done", but I digress.

: Indigo Girls did a really moving version of this song for the soundtrack
: to the movie Philedelphia. Bruce Springsteen got a lot of press for his
: song for this album, and IMHO his song is nowhere near as good. Oh well.
: The soundtrack to Philedelphia is worth picking up just for the Indigo
: Girls version of "I Don't Wanna Talk About It", again IMHO.

: "I don't Wanna talk about it
: how you broke my heart.
: but if you stay here just a
: little bit longer.
: If you stay here won't you listen
: to my heart."

: Peace Y'all

Betty,
It's on the soundtrack to Philadelphia (I don't want to talk about it).
I think Rod Stewart did the original. They did a great job on it.
If you're a guitar player or just want the lyrics, check out
