The song of the Sirens is irresistible. Those who hear it and have not been

to the mast like Odysseus will perish among the rocks (c.f. - The Odyssey).

This actually happened in Scranton, PA. I used to have the newspaper
article showing the truck flipped over and laying on it's side. If I can
find it again I will post it somewhere and link to it here.
The driver was coming down Moosic Street in Scranton, actually called Route
307 also. There was a sign that trucks had to stop and shift into low gear
to go down the huge hill, well he never did!
But yes, this really did happen, Supposedly he said he would not sing that
song locally when he was here for a concert in respect for the family.
