I just finished watching the video "50 Years, The Happy Goodmans" and have a
couple of questions that someone may be able to answer.

First, Guy Penrod introduces Sue Dodge and talks about family in the
introduction. Is Sue Dodge related to the Goodmans, and if so, what is the
relation?

Second, is Joy Gardner related to the Goodmans?

Sue Dodge IS related to the Goodmans in that she is the mother of Travis
Goodmans' wife.Tara.travis is the grandson of Vestal and Howard and the son
of Rick Goodman-----I am not sure about Joy--but I do know that her husband
is a minister of musicor a pastor and I am not sure at which church. The
have been asscoiated with the Goodmans for a long time. We saw the Goodmans
last month for the Final Stand and they were awesome , as usual.

Sue Dodge's daughter is married to Howard & Vestal's grandson, I think.

Joy Gardner is married to Landy Gardner. He's the Minister of Music at
Christ Church in TN... Joy's maiden name is slipping my mind right now...
but she used to sing as part of a well known family group back in the
70's... I'll post it when I can remember it!!!

Landy was originally married to Reba Rambo, and Joy was married to Donny
McGuire... as time passed, both couples divorced and ended up marrying each
others spouses.

Landy was originally from Huntington, WV where his father, Roland Gardner,
pastored a large United Pentecostal Church named "Christ Temple". Today
that church is pastored by yet another prolific song writer, Chuck Lawrence.

The well-known family group that Joy Gardner sang with was the Downings.
Dony McGuire played the piano and sang also.

The Downings were wonderful. Paul's homegoing was our great loss and the
heavenly choirs great gain. He a wonderful bass.

I am so glad that I got to see him and Ann together and meet them, before his
homegoing.

My wife and I had a wonderful talk with Ann that night. It was like we were
long lost friends.

You're abolutely right Susan... in fact.. I have some old Downing 33 1/3'ds
around here somewhere. They were a great group... ahead of their time in
style... had a little bit of what we called 'contemporary sound' back
then... which is little to do with what we call 'contemporary' today.

Have a great Christmas.

"Spam" is the internet equivelant of the junk mail you get in your regular
mailbox. In other words, it goes straight to the trash. I'm not sure how it
got the name "spam," though. Spam, the so called "meat," is something you
have to go out and buy on purpose, before inflicting it on yourself and
others.

Correct. And the term "spam" applies to both junk email and junk message board
postings.
