I keep searching for a schedule or any information on the Chuck Wagon
Gang. I finally found a link that shows the gang will be at the "Singing
in the Smokies" Independence Day celebration on July 4.

I wish I were on the east coast; I would sure be there. Not only do they
have the Chuck Wagon Gang (great) but also many other good groups. What
a singing that will be.

Jerry

Thanks for the reply about contacting Harold Timmons. We have
corresponded with Harold several times.

My wife's cousin, Jim Wesson, sings Tenor with the gang, but I have not
been able to reach him to check on their schedule. I saw them last
summer in their premiere show in Arlington, TX, but have not seen any of
them since. I wrote Jim at Christmas, but he did not reply -- must be
out of town or just too busy.

We do love the Chuck Wagon Gang. I wish they would get booked into the
Jones Family Theatre in north Dallas. We go there every Saturday night
and I think the gang would really do well there.

I posted the fact that the gang will be at the "Singing in the Smokies"
event because several had let me know last year that they would like to
see them perform. I just discovered the posting of the Inspirations that
shows the schedule of the event.

For those who are interested in the Chuck Wagon Gang, they are indeed back
and I attended their concert in Anderson, SC, on March 25th. Along with Jim
Wesson at tenor and Daryl Morris at bass are Vicky Gordon Owens, the
daughter of the original alto singer Anna Davis, singing alto and her
daughter Kasey singing soprano. Vicky's son, Grant, plays the guitar. The
similarity between the alto sound of Anna Davis and her daughter is
striking. Their program consists of the many CWG classics throughout the
years.

I'm not sure of any additional dates other than July 4th and October 14th at
The Inspirations Park in Bryson City, North Carolina. But, if you are Chuck
Wagon Gang fans, be sure to see them if they come to your area.

Now I know why we had not heard back from Jim Wesson (my wife's cousin).
I wrote him at home in Texas and they are on the road.
We were at their premiere concert last summer in Arlington, TX. My wife
told Vicki how much she sounded like her mother, Anna, and Vicki said
that she considered it the greatest compliment she could receive. If we
were where we could get to the concerts, we would definitely be there. I
will be glad when they get back in the Texas area so we can get to them.
With my wife's health, I do not want to take a trip very far from home.
