Gold City announced today that award-winning tenor Jay Parrack will soon end his
ten-year run as tenor singer for the legendary Gold City Quartet. According to
group owner and bass singer Tim Riley, Parrack's decision is based solely on his
desire to spend more time with his family.

According to Riley, Parrack's decision is understandable. "There's nothing more
important than family," states Riley. "Jay has given this group ten great years.
He's worked incredibly hard and has done a wonderful job. I fully support his
decision to spend more time at home with his wife and two children. We wish him
all the best, and we look forward to what God has in store for Gold City."

Parrack will continue to sing with the group until a replacement is found. Gold
City is currently taking applications, and has set up a special email address to
field potential candidates: <audi...@goldcityqt.com>.

Gold City requests that ALL correspondence regarding the position be directed to
this email address, and that applicants not phone the office directly. Details
surrounding auditions will be posted soon.

I wonder if Jonathan will be next and just leave dad and son to find a new
quartet.

Oh my gosh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am going to have to call in sick to work today! <cries hysterically>
We saw Jay in Springfield about a month ago and he was having some
voice problems I think. He just wasn't hitting notes as high as he
used to.

Guys, PLEASE don't cast stones. Being on the road constantly is incredibly
difficult on a family and I applaud anybody that's willing to make such a
tough choice in favor of their family.

Are you implying that I was throwing stones? All I did was express surprise.

Who was casting stones? Certainly not Grigsby who you quoted. He merely
expressed surprise that Parrack was leaving.

I was making a generalized, blanket statement before anyone (it seemed
that's where the thread was headed to me) started. Get the chip off your
shoulder guys.
